Shock Wedding

Handsome Profiler star Julian McMahon has beaten ex-wife Dannii Minogue to the altar, by marring long time love, Baywatch babe Brooke Burns in a shock Sydney wedding. And the happy couple will also hear the pitter patter of tiny feet, with Brooke expecting their first child mid 2000.
What started as a publicity stunt has culminated in the lover's wedding at Sydney's St. Mark's Church -- just a week before Dannii is to tie the knot with hunky formula one racing star, Jacques Villeneuve.
The nuptials took place just two days after the glamorous couple flew in from LA for their annual Christmas break in Palm Beach. Julian's best man was old mate Andy Hoult, who also held the honour when Julian married Dannii nearly six years ago.
Close friends flew in from the US especially for the big day, and Julian's sister Melinda slipped home from London despite the fact that she is pregnant herself.
Upon entering the church, the stunning bride smiled at waiting Julian before they sealed their love with a passionate kiss.
'She looked absolutely beautiful,' a friend sighed. 'Julian couldn't take his eyes off her.'
The wedding followed a magic few days for Julian, who watched the reconciliation of his mother and his younger sister Debbie, who had been estranged from the family for a few years. He has also won his mother's approval by marrying Brooke -- a far cry from Lady Sonia's very public disapproval of Dannii.
Julian's and Brooke's first date was organized by their publicist, who suggested to Brooke that spunky Julian would be the perfect escort for showbiz functions. Despite their instant attraction, the pair kept their feelings secret from each other for six months, until their passion finally ignited.
Julian and Brooke are said to be ecstatic about their impending bundle of joy. Says a close friend: 'Julian has always wanted to be a dad. He's going to make a fine father.'
