Sonia's sexy son takes off...after taking it off for the jeans commercial!

Playing a role in the series about the rich and the beautiful is not new to model turned actor Julian McMahon.
The handsome son of Lady McMahon and former Prime Minister, the late Sir William McMahon, has already lived the part during his 20 years.
For most of his life Julian was known mostly as 'the son of' until he cracked a television commercial for Levi jeans.
"That changed my life tremendously," he says during the making of the pilot for The Power, The Passion. When I first started modeling, all I ever wanted to be was the Levis man - and a year and a half down the track, I was. Thanks to Levis, I have earned a name for myself," he says.
The Power, The Passion marks Julian's debut as a professional actor. Not that he's a complete greenhorn. Early this year he completed acting courses in Los Angeles and Italy.
"I fell in love with acting and can't wait to apply what I've learned," he says.
In The Power, The Passion, a true story about two wealthy families - the Edmonds and the Byrnes - and their turbulent loves and hates, Julian plays eldest son Kane Edmonds.
It's art imitating life to a degree, except the McMahon's are far less complicated and much more rational than the Edmonds.
"Because I love acting, I want to explore the art as much as I can; and the best place to start is in a soapy," says Julian.
"But film is what I ultimately want to do and once I've had this experience it will make things easier."
What does his family think about having an actor in their midst?
"They regard it with amusement at times," he says, "but they're all behind me and support what I'm doing. But I think Mum feels it's a bit of an unstable job."
As well as taking singing and dancing lessons, Julian also tries his hand at writing music, lyrics and plays. He is determined to do as much as he can.
"You have to be a bit of an egotist," he says. "But if you've got the talent to flaunt, and are recognized for it - it's great!"
